School of Architecture + Community Development Academic Programs
The School of Architecture + Community Development (SACD) at University of Detroit Mercy currently offers four degree programs. These programs are also enriched by vibrant cooperative education and study abroad programs that enhance these core academic programs.
Two architecture degrees are offered:
- a five-year accelerated B.S. Arch/Master's of Architecture, a professional degree fully accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB)
- and a four-year Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
The Master of Community Development program is a unique masters program that was designed by an interdisciplinary faculty at Detroit Mercy to create a holistic approach to the theory and practice of community development with a foundation rooted in service, social justice, and sustainability.
